What are Biostimulants?
According to European Biostimulants Industry Council, plant biostimulants contain substance(s) and/or micro-organisms whose function when applied to plants or the rhizosphere is to stimulate natural processes to enhance/benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress, and crop quality.
Biostimulants are substances or microorganisms that, when applied to plants or the surrounding rhizosphere (root environment), play a crucial role in stimulating and enhancing various natural processes within the plants. These processes are geared towards improving overall plant health, nutrient utilization, and resilience to environmental stresses.
Key Functions
It's important to note that biostimulants are distinct from fertilizers, as they do not provide direct nutrition to plants but rather work to enhance the plant's natural processes. Kamasol® Black is a biostimulant enriched with humic and fulvic acid extracts, designed to improve soil health and promote plant growth.
